Jeep Seat Covers
The word 'jeep' when used in a generic way is used to refer to a particular type of automobile. But when it is capitalized (Jeep), it is used to refer to a brand that is owned by Chrysler. The term 'jeep' was first commonly used during World War I and the vehicle was extensively used by soldiers - it was basically a slang. But such was its popularity that this slang has stayed on for almost 100 years now.
The first jeep was made by the Department of the Army at Pennsylvania. This was closely followed by two other competing prototypes produced by Ford and Willys-Overland. The vehicle was made at the beginning by the American Bantam Car Company and their design was the first one that was approved by the Army, but as the company was too small and so could not come up with the required number of vehicles, Ford and Willys was also given another opportunity to provide their designs.
